K-Interlocution in jeopardy as interlocutors lose credibility

 Soon after media reports established that Jammu Kashmir Interlocutors (Dalip Padgaonkar and Radha Kumar) appointed by central government were enjoying life and leisure on the expenses of Pakistan Intelligence Agency ISI while joining the Kashmir conferences organized by Ghulam Nabi Fai in European countries, politicians have started criticizing their appointment.
Politicians blame centre for appointing inappropriate people for Kashmir problem because both state and centre government themselves categorize the problem as a political one. "Kashmir is a political problem which can be solved politically, but none of three interlocutors are from political back ground," CPI-M Central Committee member Mohammad Salim said and added that Kashmir is a multi-dimensional problem which needs a multi-pronged solution.
It is important to mention that media reports were abuzz when photographs wherein Padgaonkar and Radha Kumar were seen attending meetings in America organized by Fai, who was arrested by FBI on charges of being stooge of ISI. With these reports team of interlocutors lost credibility as those people who had met them during their earlier visits express unwillingness to meet them now in future.
Shahid Siddiqui, Rashtriya Lok Dal, said there was need for holding dialogue between people to find solution to Kashmir issue. He insisted that Kashmiri leadership should be realistic in its approach. Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party’s formula for Kashmir solution is reorganization. Libration Front has suggested for liberal Jammu and Kashmir from both India and Pakistan with democratic and secular character.
Meanwhile, commenting on the appointment and role of interlocutors, political experts have suggested that before two out of three leave the panel, M. M Ansari should tender the resignation to save his dignity and credibility.
