Kalash religious leader Qazi Mir Zamas of Broone passes away. Kalash people celebrating his death ceremony for 3 days.

CHITRAL: Qazi Mir Zamas of Kalash community (Broone Billage of Mumborate) pass away after prolonged illness his death ceremony will be continue for three days at Kalash valley where they will slaughter 30 to 50 goats, presenting Desi ghee, cheese and traditional food to guest. Kalash women performing folk dance with singing religious songs with opening aerial firing he will be burred on 5th Jan at Kalash valley Broone village at 9 AM.
Qazi Mir Zamas was teaching as religious teaching in Kalash Dur school for Kalash children because most of Kalash religious is not available in printed material. And he was teaching them verbally.
He was grandfather of social worker Luke Rehmat Kalash and was performing as Qazi (religious, spiritual leader of Kalasha) at Broone village. He has one son namely Hisbulah, three daughter Koi Begum, Dori and Milad Gul elected general council minority village council of Bumuret
Kalash people celebrating death ceremony of male person for 3 days with folk dance by women and singing songs as well as areal Firing. As well as male person especially old people dancing with holding a Sword in their hand or Axe etc. They also burying all of his or her assets like cloth, axe , gun and other things using by a Kalash in daily life. Hence they are celebrating this ceremony for one day in case of death of a Kalash women.
But this traditional function is a very unique and people of 3 Kalash valleys arrived there. They put some walnut and other dry fruit near his head as well as some coins (notes) of 100 rupees to 1000 rupees in his cap which is considering as signification and respect for deceased person.
Kalash people presenting traditional food to guest coming there for 3 days not for condolence but they expressing their happiness and pleasure because Kalash people has doctrine that when a child is born so his parents celebrating his born and expressing their pleasure similarly when he or she is die so they once again expressing pleasure to see off the deceased person with pleasure to other world not with crying or weeping.
A large number of domestic and foreign tourists arrive Kalash valley to enjoy these traditional ceremonies as well.
