Kashmir as a national mission for Panun Kashmir:Ashwani

Jammu, May 09 (Scoop News) – Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, President, Panun Kashmir today described Kashmir as a national mission for Panun Kashmir. The displacement of the indigenous community of Kashmir , the Kashmiri Pandits, has ramifications on national and international level.

Addressing a Press Confrence in Jammu after concluding the 21-day “Kashmir Sankalp Yatra” Ashwani Kumar said that all attempts aimed at making Kashmir hostage to the politics of blackmail in the name of the so-called self-determination, self rule or azadi.

He said the demand of autonomy is based on the politics of Muslim majoritarianism and it opens up all options of making Kashmir a theocratic state. It will gradually turn Kashmir into a monolithic separate identity and initiate the process of balkanisation of India . The countrymen are expected to identify the danger of anti-India campaigns in Kashmir and rise to the occasion to respond to the emerging situation. The community of Kashmiri Pandits stand committed to their demand of the establishment of Homeland in the valley of Kashmir as it remains the only viable option for the displaced community of Kashmir to resettle in their ancestral habitat. The Pandits have the first and natural rightful claim on the territory of Kashmir ,Ashwani added.

He said Panun Kashmir is grateful to the countrymen who stood by them in their most difficult times, but they should to come forward in this struggle and help to take it to the logical conclusion.

Virender Raina, National Spokesperson while giving details about “Kashmir Sankalp Yatra said that the Yatra which began on April 14 this year from Jammu , concluded on May 7th at Jagti Township , Jammu .

He said the 21-day Yatra sponsored by Panun Kashmir was led by Shri Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo,which covered 18 places in the 12 districts of the three states namely, Maharashtra, Delhi and Rajasthan. The Yatra among other places visited Mumbai, Pune, Alandi, Nanded Sahib, Ahmednagar, Jalgaon, Shirdi, Udaipur , Nathdwara, Haldigati, Chitorgarh and Delhi . During the course of the Yatra, a number of seminars, public programmes, meetings and press conferences were addressed. Campaign literature in the form of Newsletters and handouts were also circulated.

      Virender said that the main purpose of the Yatra was to make awareness among the people about the issues relating to Kashmir and Kashmiri Pandits. The special programmes on the occasion were planned in all the three states in collaboration with the local chapters of the like-minded and nationalist organisations namely, Samast Hindu Aaghadi, Rashtriya Sikh Sangat, Hindu Janjagran Samiti, World Brahmin Organisation, Sarva Brahman Mahasabha, Rashtriya Swamsevak Sangh, Rotary Club and Sarva Bashiya Brahman Mahasangh. The prominent people who participated and addressed the programmes during the course of the Yatra included S/Shri Madhu Kulkarni, eminent senior citizen activist, Rajan Khanna, writer and a prominent environment activist, Sardar G.S.Gill, Secretary, Justice on Trial,     Dr. P V Sesha Sai, Wing Commander Satish Sharma, Pt. Suresh Mishra, Bhagwan Maneria, Milind Ekbote, Narayan Kochak, Dr. G. Surange, Dr. A.C. Lune, Ramesh Pandav, Upinder Kulkarni, Daljit Singh Khalsa, Nayan Kour, Lajwanti Premchandani, Dutta Kulkarni and Vijender Singh Ragi.
