Kashmir Chief rewards students for cultural programme

Srinagar,March 29 (Scoop News) –    As many as 233 students of seven educational institution of Srinagar which include Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Amira Kadal, Chanapora, Kothibagh, Khanyar, Sonwar, Nawakadal and Nishat were awarded commendation certificates and cash prize of Rs. 2 lakh as a reward for their performance in various cultural programme at Bakshi Stadium on January 26, 2012.

            The certificates and cash prizes were distributed among the student by the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. A. Samoon. He visited all the seven schools where he interacted with the students. He urged them to take active part in sports to built a healthy body and mind.

            Div Com planted a Loucot sapling in the premises of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Khanyar.

            Dr. Samoon was accompanied by DDC Srinagar, Deputy Director Planning, Chief Education officer, District Youth Services and Sports officer and senior officers of education department.
