Srinagar/Jammu, November 14 (Scoop News) – J&K Pradesh Congress Committee held a meeting of Prominent Congress Leaders and workers at Party Headquarters Srinagar today with the aim to pay glowing tributes to Former Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru on his 121st Birth Anniversary.
While speaking on this occasion Congress Leaders and workers paid floral tributes to Former Prime Minister and lauded his role in Nation building and upliftment of poor and down trodden people in the country. Being a secular leader Pt. Jawhar Lal Nehru was a man of upright, peace and people loving personality. During his tenure as Prime Minister he announced and kept a five year reconstruction plan for development of the country and due to his tireless efforts and administrative skills he achieved the goal and the whole world started recognizing
He (Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru) was a children loving person who always preferred to spent some portion of his time with children and because of that he was popularly known as “Chacha Nehru” and his birth anniversary is also called as children’s day. The presentees while paying tributes to the former Prime Minister also lauded the role of Nehru Family in Nation building and appreciated sacrifices they have done for the country. They said the best way to pay tributes to the departed leader is to work unitedly and tirelessly for the poor and down trodden people and help those who deserve help.
The meeting was presided over by Gulam Nabi Monga Vice President J&K Pradesh Congress Committee. The meeting was also addressed by G. N.
