Kashmir police arrested LeT District Commander

Srinagar October 05 (Vijay Kumar)- Jammu and Kashmir Police in its continuous fight against militancy in the State arrested a LeT commander from Batamaloo area in Srinagar Kashmir on Monday .

Police said that on a specific information one Ashiq Hussain @ Umair, District Commander of Lashker-e-Toiba militant outfit for Doda was apprehended by Srinagar police alongwith his wife from Batamaloo Srinagar.

            His wife too is an active LeT cadre and moves with him. Three associates of the arrested LeT commander have also been arrested, police said.

Meanwhile Constable Jatinder Singh of 138 Bn. BSF D-coy presently posted at Nowshera in Jammu region resident of Masarh Bhojpur Bihar committed suicide by his own service rifle. He was shifted to Nowshera hospital for treatment.
