Police said that Police Station Gulmarg received information regarding the missing of two Foreign Nationals and one Indian National namely
Accordig to Police a joint search operation was launched by Police Gulmarg and Tourism Department of the area. On 29-01-2011 at 10AM all the three tourists were rescued at Manwar Bekh, Watpathri Gulmarg safe and sound. This is a commendable job done by Police Baramulla in rescuing all the three foreigners which has been appr eciated by the Foreigners and general public at Gulmarg.
Meanwhile Kral Khud Police has recovered one body of Siftian Hussain son of Peer Ghulam Hassan resident of Baba Pora Nehama Sahib Habakadal near Brari Nambal Bab Damb, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kral Khud. Inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC have been initiated.
Meanwhile, Parimpora Police has recovered body of Abdul Hameed Kasana son of Juma Kasana resident of Chodan Limbar Uri from the ho use of Tahir Hashim son of Ghulam Ahmad resident of S. K Colony sector No. 2 Qamarwari, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Parimpora. The deceased was home servant of Tahir Hashim since last five years. Inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC have been initiated.
Market, Traffic checking by Baramulla Police
During market checking at Pattan ten shopkeepers were arrested by Police under section 3/7 Essential Commodities Act and challan was produced before the court of CJM Sopore.
Baramulla Police and Naib Tehsildar Boniyar have recovered Rs. 81000/= fine from nine shopkeepers at Chandan Wari and Boniyar during market checking.
Police has also challaned four Tata Sumo vehicles bearing registration numbers JK05/7392 challaned under section 3/181 MV Act, TATA Sumo JK05B/7286 under section 184 M.V. Act, TATA Sumo JK05A/7536 u/s 3/181 M.V. Act, and TATA Sumo JK01F/7689 u/s 3/181 M.V. Act. The constant Market and Traffic checking conducted by Police Baramulla has been highly appreciated by the people of the area.
One arrested with arms in Tangmarg
On specific information Baramulla Police and 2 RR established a Naka at Dooru, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Tangmarg. During Naka checking one person namely Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din son of Abdul Gani resident of Rawalpora Beerwah was arrested. One Chinese Pistol and one empty magazine were recovered from his possession. Police has registered a case in this regard.
8 injured in road mishaps
Eight persons were injured in different road accidents in
A Taveera vehicle bearing registration number JK14A-6867 driven by Sanjay Kumar son of Madan Lal resident of Rani Bagh Ajit Nagar Jammu on way from Jammu to Srinagar turned turtle at Ujroo near Railway Bridge, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Qazigund, resulting in injuries to two persons namely Gulzar Ahmad son of Mohammad Subhan resident of Khag Budgam and Mushtaq Ahmad son of Ghulam Ahmad resident of Dalwach Budgam. Both the injured were hospitalized. Police has registered a case in this regard.
A Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK03A-9802 driven by Riyaz Afzal Farooqi son of Afzal Farooqi resident of Ashmuqam hit and injured one pedestrian namely Ghulam Qadir Rather son of Ali Mohammad resident of Lone Pora Mattan at K.P Road Kralpora, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Mattan. The injured was hospitalized. The driver of the vehicle fled away from the spot, vehicle seized. Police has registered a case in this regard.
A Wagon-R bearing registration number JK02AH-2277 on way from Jammu to Srinagar collided with one LP Truck bearing registration number JK02AK-6781 near Drangbal, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Pampore, resulting in injuries to five persons namely Ratan Lal Pandith son of Poshkar Nath resident of Shiv Nagar Jammu, Avtar Krishan Raina son of Prem Nath resident of Bagwati Nagar Jammu, Smt. Kaki wife of Avtar Krishan resident of Bagwati Nagar Jammu, Roshan Lal Bhat son of Madu Joo Bhat resident of Shiv Nagar Jammu and Smt. Geeta Pandita wife of Ratan Lal resident of Shiv Nagar Jammu. All the injured were hospitalized. Police has registered a case in this regard.
