Kashmir Police terms allegations of BJP activist Halima baseless

Srinagar, January 29 (Scoop News) – J&K Police terms the allegations of BJP activist Halima as baseless. Halima was also produced before Mediapersons today.

SSP Srinagar ehile addressing a press conference in District Police Lines (DPL) Srinagar, said that on the information provided by Mst. Halima Begum wife of Mohammad Safeer Bhatti resident of Uranbua Uri at SMHS Karan Nagar, FIR got registered in case FIR No. 09/2011 under section 364, 330 RPC of Police Station Karan Nagar on 28.01.2011.

He said that Police started investigation on the basis of factual details provided by Mst. Halima Begum and Showkat Ahmad Mir son of Abdul Rehman resident of Ahtishampura Boniyar, who claims to be present with Halima Begum at the time of incident i.e at around 09:30 PM on 24.01.2011 at somewhere in Budgam.

During investigation Police found their claims false and baseless. The CDR and tower details of SIM and Mobile numbers of applicant and its associates don’t support the version of incident.

According to the CDR and tower analysis both were present in the locality of Bemina Srinagar, during the period of investigation i.e 24th January to 28th January morning. A copy of details of CDR and tower locations has been attached with case file as a part of evidence before the Court.

The medical opinion of SMHS Hospital clearly shows that injury mark on the body of Halima Begum is superficial and of old in nature. A copy of medical opinion has been attached with the case file as a part of evidence before Court.

The statement of Showkat Ahmad Mir before  Court under section 164-A CrPC clearly contradicts the statement of Mst. Halima begum as he denies to be present with her on the time of incident. A copy of court statement is attached with case file for ready reference.

In the statement before  Court under section 164 CrPC one Mst. Gudy clearly accepts that Mst. Halima begum was residing with her at Bemina Srinagar during the period of investigation. A copy of court statement is attached with case file for ready reference.

On the basis of these facts, Police has filed its final report in front of  Court regarding the case to be considered as Not Admitted and further made request for permission to initiate legal action against Mst. Halima Begum under section 182 CrPC.
