Kashmir Provincial unit of Janata Dal (Secular) embraced BJP

Jammu, December 31 (Scoop News) – Welcoming the leaders of Janata Dal (Secular) from Kashmir valley who joined into  BJP party, President Shamsher Singh Manhas, said that merger of whole of the provincial team of Janata Dal (Secular) into BJP is a clear message that the people in Kashmir too are fed up with the hollow promises and assurances by the leaders of NC, Congress and PDP. He said it is also a blow to all such forces in valley which have been painting BJP as a communal party, while the facts are totally otherwise. He said being a responsible national party, BJP has been continuously raising the people-centric issues and agitating for the welfare and upliftment of a common citizen in the state. He said for us nation and national interests in the state are on top agenda and we consider it our prime duty to bring nationalist forces under a platform and display unity.

Earlier the entire Kashmir Provincial unit of Janata Dal (Secular) embraced BJP in a function held at party headquarters at Jammu. Gh. Nabi Wani, Provincial President, Kashmir, alongwith other prominent leaders from Baramulla, Ganderbal and Bandipora districts were welcomed into the party fold by State President Shamsher Singh Manhas and State Vice-President & Kashmir Prabhari Chander Prakash Ganga by garlanding them.

Ghulam Nabi Wani, expressing full faith in the principles and ideology of BJP, said that a handful of elements in Kashmir have been misleading the innocent people for their personal gains. Be it political leaders in valley or separatists, they all have been promoting their interests and have least concern for the welfare and upliftment of masses. He said like Jammu there are no jobs for highly educated youth in Kashmir  but those having links with Ministers and MLAs of ruling dispensation are awarded whatever they demand. Peace and nation loving people are ignored while policies are being  framed for rehabilitation of those who indulge in anti-national activities and provoke the masses to raise anti-India slogans. He said that his party leaders and activists have been very minutely watching the developments in valley and the appeasement policy adopted by the Union as well as the State governments at the cost of national interests. He also appealed the nationalist people in valley to strengthen the hands of BJP in Kashmir so that we become a great strength there and give befitting reply to enemies of humanity.

Besides Provincial President Ghulam Nabi Wani, others who joined BJP included Ganderbal district President Ghulam Hassan Wani, Bandipore District president Mohd. Shafiq Najar, Baramulla District president Ghulam Mohd. Bhat and Baramulla District Vice-President Ghulam Mohd. Najar.
