Srinagar, August 21 (Scoop News) -A delegation of Gurduwara Prabandhak Committee Srinagar headed by its president Sardar K N Singh today called on the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and discussed various issues pertaining to the community. The matter relating to the writing of anonymous letters by some unscrupulous elements was also brought to his notice.
The Chief Minister while interacting with the delegation said that he is proud of secular credentials of the people of the valley, who have always withstood all such onslaughts from mischievous forces when futile attempts were made to create wedge between different communities. He said world recognizes the secular character of the people of the valley where people belonging to different faiths live amicably tied with firm bonds of love and affection. He said the valley where sofi saints have inculcated the spirit of love and brotherhood are still being followed with reverence and respect. Therefore, he said the letters written on computer and printed on printer by one or two mischievous persons should not be construed the voice of majority.
Fully acknowledging the views of the Chief Minster, the members of the delegation also said that their Muslim brethren in the valley have always showered love upon them for centuries particularity during last two decades of turbulence. The delegation said that they have apprehension that some inimical forces are involved in this conspiracy and urged the Chief Minister to bring them to book.
The Chief Minister assured the delegation that his government will trace the mischievous elements involved in writing the anonymous letters accordingly. He also assured the delegation that all necessary steps will be taken by the government for their economic and social security. He advised the delegation that they shouldn’t get discouraged at any stage by such incidents. He said the mature approach of both the communities cordially resolved one such isolated ugly incident at Tral recently. He said similarly all precautions are required to be taken by all right thinking people of all the communities to thwart ill designs of mischievous elements, bent upon breeding hatred in the valley which has been living in spiritual atmosphere for centuries.
