Jammu, May 31, (Scoop News)- The Congress, the NC and the PDP must eschew politics of soft secessionism and help promote mainstream politics in the militant and separatist-infested Kashmir Valley, Prof Hari Om, Political advisor to BJP State President Jugal Kishore Sharma (MP Lok Sabha), today said in a press release issued here today. “The politics of secessionism, based on religious fanaticism and competitive secessionism and communalism has no place in the State of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. This is what the mandate 2014 unambiguously said in the state and rest of the country,” he said, adding that “the next five years are a period of nation-building and state-building, development and governance and a period that would make India super power and world leader with PM Narendra Modi setting-in-motion a process calculated to regenerate the Indian society, polity, economy and culture and countrovert the pernicious influence of the regressive ideology the pseudo-secular outfits like the Congress preached and practiced for several decades”.
Warning the Congress, the NC and the PDP that they would get totally decimated if they continue to cling to the out-moded, regressive and intolerant ideology, which the people across the nation rejected outright with the contempt it deserved, Prof Hari Om said that while the BJP on its own got more than 32 per cent of the total votes polled in Jammu & Kashmir, the share of the NC was not more than 9 per cent and that of the PDP and the Congress 20 per cent each and this should establish that the people in the state are for mainstream politics and not for autonomy or self-rule. He reminded the NC and the PDP leadership that it is their exclusivity approach and primitive and hate-India ideology that has restricted their area of activities only to the Kashmir Valley with the people of Jammu and Ladakh hating and despising them. The Congress has also been wiped out in Jammu and Ladakh because of its unqualified support to the politics of autonomy and regional discrimination indulged in by the NC and taken recourse to the NC-Congress coalition government.
The Congress, the NC and the PDP, Prof Hari Om said, would do well to appreciate the socioeconomic and political aspirations of the people of Jammu and Ladakh and their commitment to the nation and territorial integrity of the country and work for a regime that treats all the regions of the state and all the social groups it house equally at all levels and in all spheres. “They cannot blackmail and browbeat New Delhi anymore as the new dispensation doesn’t believe in appeasement policy,” he said and added that the Kashmir-centric essentially sectarian outfits like the Congress, the NC and the PDP have no other option but to respect the national mandate and act accordingly. He expressed the hope that these outfits will refashion their whole approach towards the state, join the mainstream politics and join the BJP’s inclusive development and governance crusade.
