Dr Jitendra while raising serious doubts about the Central and State government’s sincerity to restore mainstream political activity in
Addressing a press conference in Jammu today he said some of these activists were arrested before or during the yatra and were released on bail but inspite of that they are being regularly summoned to the police stations on the pretext of interrogation and subjected to mental and physical torture.
The issue raises question mark on the intention of the administration, which is on one hand talking of rehabilitating youth, who had crossed over to PoK and stone pelters who indulged in anti-India movement, and on the other hand discouraging the local youth who are voluntarily willing to take part in mainstream pro-India activity in the valley.
This also raises question about whether there is a mischivous agenda to discourage pro-India social and political activity in the state for which the Congress is equally answerable. The debate initiated by this issue goes beyond the confines of any particular party or BJP and is a matter of serious introspection for the entire nation.
