KDF IS A DISGRACE TO OUR VULNERABLE, INSECURE COUNTRY (KENYA)
Today, Kenyans have known the real grand beneficiaries of the senseless, merciless and generous looting that followed the Westgate Hostage-Rescue-Mission. For weeks now, rumors has been sailing afar, bringing with it untold suffering to the hundreds of victims that are still in shock, pain and a state of what now appears unnecessary confusion orchestrated by our very own sons and daughters who are under oath of protecting Kenyans.
The KDF have time and again denied claims that they looted Westgate Mall during the so called siege that lasted for what appeared an eternity to many a distraught Kenyan. They are even on record for having distributed CCTV Camera footages showing no tangible signs of one of their soldier reaping from where they never sowed even a single seed.
Today, it is no longer a secret that there were no more than four attackers contrary to the government’s position that there were about ten to fifteen heavily armed ‘mercenaries’ from all over the world and races. It is no longer a secret that the Westgate Mall siege technically ended on Saturday-the very same day it had started and that the subsequent ‘siege’ was a well-organized drama staged by our very own security personnel and stirred by the ‘money-hungry’ armed KDF Soldiers.
It is no longer a secret that Ole Lengu and General Karangi repeatedly lied to our nation, our Head of State and the world at large. It is no longer a secret that KDF exaggerated the drama courtesy of the so called ‘friendly-fire’ exchange through which more than four officers were gunned down. It is indeed no longer a secret that the KDF Soldiers killed none of the four armed attackers (who possibly walked away silently and have been watching every single update from their hideout).
The most shocking thing is the fact that KDF did indeed looted Westgate with runaway impunity and given a chance, they will repeat their heinous act again and again! The question is: what should happen next? Of course every Kenyan know the answer.
A commission of inquiry will soon be formed. Its main role will be buying time and taking us into their usual endless cycles. When they will be finally fully armed with the report, we will be told those captured CCTV footages were photo-shopped and that all the ‘boys’ and ‘girls’ who participated in the ‘siege’ are innocent and have clean records since their childhoods!
As usual, we are bound to forget and soon, everything will be back to normal. It will be business as usual. We will never get tired of enthusiastically echoing the powerful words from the National Anthem that talks about togetherness, liberty and justice and fairness for all. Meanwhile, the rogue officers are dining and wining comfortably in their barracks. They know their fortresses are heavily fortified by a thick, impenetrable wall of impunity and corruption of an unimaginable scale.
