Jammu/New Delhi, October 03 (Scoop News)-Avinash Rai Khanna,BJP MP and Prabhari J&K has written to the President of India, the Prime Minister and the union Home Minister , requesting them to seek the resignation of Omar Abdullah as chief minister of J&K for his statements violating the constitution under whose oath he is supposed to function.
Khanna referred to Omar’s statement that “his state only acceded and never merged with India,” and that sustained dialogue with Pakistan and separatists over Kashmir issue is needed.

In his letters ,Khanna writes that as per the various provisions of the constitution,it is clear that Jammu & Kashmir was, is and will be integral part of India and by making such statements the C.M. of Jammu and Kashmir has shown disrespect to the constitution. CM has taken the oath as per constitution, and can not make such statements. If he makes such statements, it means he has no faith on the constitution under which whole of the country is functioning and has faith on it.

Khanna has written that the Chief Minister has lost his right to continue as CM of J&K which is a constitutional post to be held by a person who has faith in the constitution.

He therefore urges the President,Prime Minister and union Home Minister to get the matter inquired into and ask Omar Abdullah to immediately resign from the post of CM of J&K .Khanna concludes the letter saying,” I will be obliged if intimation is sent to me about the action taken.”
