Khia Edgerton, known by her DJ name K-Swift, died the morning of July 21 after a swimming pool accident in her hometown of Baltimore, MD. She was 28 years-old.
K-Swift was a respected member of the Baltimore hip hop community and made a name for herself as a radio DJ, club DJ and entrepreneur. She first rose to fame as the first female mix show coordinator, a position she held at Baltimore’s 92Q Jams radio station.
K-Swift was a member of numerous Baltimore-area DJ crews including the Violator-All Star DJ Coalition and the all female Murda Mamis. As an entrepreneur, K-Swift owned the graphics management and production company, Club Queen Entertainment.
Fans all over the country have voiced their support for K-Swift after her life ended all too soon. Details of her death have yet to be released.
