Securing a 338 votes KP Sharma Oli Chairman of CPN-UML was declared the 38th prime Minister of Nepal. He defeated Nepali Congress (NC) President Sushil Koirala against a major support of the Parliament. Koirala secured 249 votes from the 587 lawmakers participating in the voting .
Oli’s was supported by 14 political parties including United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF), UCPN (Maoist) and Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal (RPP-N) respectively.
