Jammu, November 17, (Scoop News)- In a major development that can have huge impact on the forthcoming elections in J&K, Kashmiri Pandits today asked all the political parties contesting the elections to come out with a detailed blueprint regarding their stand on the dignified return of Kashmiri Pandits to Kashmir Valley before seeking their votes.
This was indicated by the senior leaders of various Kashmiri Pandit organizations at a joint press conference organized by All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC), the apex organization of Kashmiri Migrants working at ground level for the return and rehabilitation of the community.
KP sasked all the national, local and regional political parties to come out with a detailed Blueprint on how they propose to rehabilitate the exiled Kashmiri Pandit community in Kashmir valley and how they will address their political, social, economic and religious aspirations after getting elected to the state legislature.
They said that they have been hearing dignified return and rehabilitation for the past more than two decades and were in no mood to get befooled by sloganeering only adding the party high-commands of all political parties must officially declare their policy on KPs with a detailed Blueprint so that Pandits can decide whom to elect and why.
King Bharati, National Spokesperson APMCC said that if the political parties ignore them again with mere slogans the None Of The Above (NOTA) option was available to them on the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) to make their presence felt in the electioneering adding they will extend full support to the party that comes out with a detailed blueprint for their future.
He said that KP votes are in huge numbers in J&K State inspite of the fact that all political parties have ignored their pleas to make enrolment of KP voters a simple procedure adding this time it was a final call for the political parties to focus their attention towards KPs or get a big No during elections through NOTA option as they believe in following the law of the land instead of other options.
