Jammu, Sep 21: Several Kashmiri Pandit (KP) representatives were arrested by police in Domana police station while on way to meet All Party Delegation (ADP), who are scheduled to stay in Jammu for a day to meet various representatives of different social, religious and political groups. Chairman, President, Migrant camps Coordination Committee Ajay Bharti, Desh Rattan Pandita along with other about 25 leaders were arrested by Domana police, when they were on way in a mini-bus to meet APD to appraise their concerning issues.
“We were in three mini-buses travelling towards CMs residence to meet APD, but two mini-buses were sent back and we were arrested at about 11:30 AM, for unknown reasons. APD as per announcement of Government of India is here to meet all people especially those victim of prevailing turmoil” Ajay Bharti said and added that even cup of water was not offered to the people under custody. Bhartii said that he has approached Divisional Commissioner two times for seeking permission to meet APD, even relief commissioner also extended assurances but all invain, Bharti added.
In another episode, more 50 KP boys and girls were arrested by Nowabad police and were shifted to District Police Lines (DPL). They were chanting slogans “We Want Justice” “Jis Kashmir Ko Khun Se Sencha- Who Kashmir Hamara Hai”. Police arrested them after minor scuffle upon the arrest of pregnant women. One of the cops on duty tried to exhibit his might upon this pregnant lady which was resisted by others.

It important to mention that, APD did not meet representatives of Pandits who put stay in Valley despite all odds for the last 22 years. “We are about 800 families as per government data in Valley” said Viond Pandita, President All Party Migrants Coordination Committee. He alleged that state government under a designed conspiracy allowed its agents to meet the APD instead of original community leaders. What was wrong in inviting the leaders of Panun Kashmir and Vichar Manch, the frontal organizations of KPs, Pandita asked. Meanwhile about 19 KPs from various political parties and their workers are meeting ADP on behalf of community, he added.
