Kratingdaeng, an energy drink popular in Asia, is being blamed for the death of 12 people in Indonesia and for injuring many more.
More than 20 people were affected after drinking a cocktail of Kratingdaeng and vodka made by a group of teenagers in West Java, Indonesia. Kratingdaeng is popular throughout Asia and was a predecessor to Red Bull and shares some of the same energizing properties. The company even has a logo with bulls that is very similar to Red Bull
It is unclear whether Kratingdaeng has been linked to death in the past, but doctors say that the dead and injured all consumed the drink.
