Cars were found to be parked on the school playground. Over 29 privately owned vehicles were found parked on the school track field at Robert Louis Stevenson Middle School located at South Indiana Street in Boyle Heights, the eastern district of Los Angeles, California. The cars were parked on the playground February 5, 2008.
The middle school in East Los Angeles, is currently under the control of principal Teresa Hurtado. Principal Hurtado could not be reached for comment. On the same day of the sighting workers were seen replacing windows in the administration building.
Another disturbing situation at Robert Louis Stevenson Middle School is that the horticulture department has been allowed to wither and is not being offered in the curriculum. The department in question is overrun with tall grass, and weeds. And the greenhouse is gone from the department, too.
