Punjab PML President and former chief minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi has asked the party ticket holders to further gear up the election campaign in the provincial metropolis in order to get desired results. The former chief minister was addressing party ticket holders from Lahore here Tuesday in which former governor Mian Muhammad Azhar, former federal minister Humayun Akhtar Khan, Ch Moonis Elahi, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Kh Tahir Zia, Tariq Bandey, Mian Asif and other participants. He said Lahore was the hub of political activity and when the election campaign heats up in the City, the whole country would follow. He directed the party candidates to hold more corner meetings besides contacting local people so that target of getting more seats could be achieved. He said those people who were talking about boycotting the elections were deceiving the masses as they were feared of contesting polls. He said these people have no agenda, no plan for development of the people besides they did not have completed their homework, how could they contest elections, he asked. Ch Pervaiz said the PPP, inventor of rigging in polls, has been trying to use the same old tactics but people had refused to come into their trap. He said Benazir Bhutto after seeing her clear defeat in the upcoming general elections, has been now trying to again sit in the boat of PML-N, and fate of both the parties are very much clear. He said time has come when the ship of both the parties is going to be sink. He said PML was the founder party of the Pakistan and parties who were supporting PPP, which was responsible for dividing Pakistan, could not be considered as patriots. He said in the upcoming elections, the masses would reject all the political refugees and strengthen the hands of PML in the better interest of the country.
