Lal Singh for effective monitoring to improve health services

Jammu, March 10, (Scoop News)- Minister for Health and Medical Education and ARI and Trainings Ch. Lal Singh today said that an effective monitoring mechanism has been put in place to enforce accountability and transparency in implementation of health schemes and delivery of services.
Addressing a review meeting of Health and Medical Education Departments at Civil Secretariat, Ch Lal Singh exhorted upon the officers to ensure better medicare to the people across the state with special focus on rural and far off areas.
The Meeting was attended by senior officers of Health and Medical Education, Finance and Planning departments.
The Minister asked the officers to chalk out strategies to improve health scenario in the state adding that the government is paying extra focus on this priority sector.
The Minister asked the officers to maintain discipline and punctuality in the offices. He directed them to maintain office record in a systematic manner and improve work culture in their respective departments.
Ch. Lal Singh was informed that the work on major development projects under the health sector is in full swing in different districts of Jammu province. He asked the concerned authorities to ensure timely completion of development works adding that Government has resolved to create dependable health infrastructure for the people across the State.
Earlier, the Minister reviewed the functioning of the Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) at Bahu Plaza as Incharge Minster ARI and Trainings.
Chairman BOPEE G H Tantray, Controller of Examinations, Prof. Farooq Ahmed Mir, Secretary, Khurshid Ahmed, Special Secretary ARI and Trainings A R Inqulabi besides other senior officers of BOPEE were present on the occasion.
Threadbare discussions were held during the meeting which include selection of courses and procedure of admissions under B.Ed, polytechnic colleges courses, MBBS, BDS, BUMUS, BAMS, Physiotherapy and Diploma in Detal Hygienic Courses, Engineering, MD, MS,PG diploma and MDS Courses.
The Minister asked for preparing a Detailed Project Report with site plan for the office building of BOPEE immediately.
Later, the Minister also visited Government Medical College, Jammu and inspected the CCTV cameras facility in hospital complex. He asked the Principal GMC Dr. Ghanshyam Gupta to install the CCTV cameras in ICU and CCU wards. He asked for rotational duty of at least three Chief Medical Officers daily as per roaster in the Emergency Wards so that patients do not face any inconvenience. He asked the medical and para-medical staff members to remain punctual in hospitals.
