Lance Heft Interviews Animal Rights Activist Gene Baur on PBS-"Inspiration With Lance Heft&quot

Lance Heft’s fascinating interview with Animal Rights Activist Gene Baur shows very clearly that the cruel treatment of animals is simply wrong.

Gene grew up in Hollywood, California and worked in commercials for McDonald’s and other fast food restaurants. He adopted a vegan lifestyle in 1985, and today, he campaigns to raise awareness about the negative consequences of industrialized factory farming and our cheap food system.

Gene Baur founded Farm Sanctuary to end cruelty to farm animals and to promote compassionate living through rescue, education, and advocacy. His ability to engage public and celebrity awareness for this valuable cause is remarkable and inspiring.

Gene’s personal journey may open your eyes to the issues that are closest to his mission. His selfless passion demonstrates how you can take the causes that are dear to your heart and serve them in your life.

About Lance Heft
Host/Executive Producer

PBS Inspiration was the brainchild of TV and radio show host, author, and entrepreneur Lance Heft. Historically, Lance had a keen and creative business sense, and a strong desire to share his gift. The son of a steelworker, Lance graduated early from high school and left his small town roots to study finance, economics, and marketing at the prestigious Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

Owner of several multimillion dollar companies, Lance authored a book describing how he was able to live the American dream. His strong desire to share his wisdom with others led to his quest to reach millions through TV and radio by interviewing successful people: celebrities including famous musicians, artists, and actors as well as everyday people such as small business owners, restaurateurs, and doctors.

His motivation for bringing Inspiration to viewers was to create a forum for all people to be privy to the process of making the American dream tangible. His mission is to showcase the endless ways to realize the American dream through the living stories of those who have attained success, happiness, and fulfillment.
