PARKER, Texas (GroundReport) – When he first read the script for the TV series “Dallas” in the ‘70s, actor Larry Hagman was hesitant to join; he didn’t there would be any money in it.
Later, Hagman’s wife, Maj convinced him to take on the infamous role as “JR.” Looking back after 30 years ahead of an upcoming reunion, he’s happy he did take up the part of conniving oil baron and cattle rancher.
Hagman reportedly earned as much as $100,000 or more per episode.
"People are crazy," Hagman said Thursday, reports The Associated Press. "I guess it’s a TV show people identify with."
