Late delivery of justice responsible for rape incidents: JPPF

Jammu, August 27(Scoop News)- Jammu Province Peoples Forum (JPPF) has strongly protested against the gang rape of a Photo Journalist in Mumbai lodged in Jaslok Hospital undergoing treatment of multiple inner injuries. Terming the incident as shocking and highly condemnable, JPPF demanded stern action against the culprits.

JPPF President Th. Pavittar Singh while addressing a meeting blamed complete failure of government to maintain law and order. He said the government has utterly failed to provide protection to women in the country. Even the wounds of medico girl’s gang rape in Delhi have not healed yet another rape and so many more in the country.

It is perhaps due to the late delivery of justice. The present system needs drastic change and more fast to award punishment within days which will also enhance faith of public in judiciary. Even the culprits of Delhi gang rape have not been punished so far.

The president while demanding early justice and exemplary punishment to the rapists, who have not only spoiled the life of a budding journalist but also brought a blot on the administration of Mumbai.
Present besides others were Inderjeet Khajuria, Gajan Singh Khajuria, Kr Narayan Singh, M.S Katoch, Avinash Bhatia, M.L Sharma, Amrit Mangotra, Suneeta Sharma, B.L Bhardwaj and Shri Ram Sena State President, Rajiv Mahajan were also present in the press conference.
