Legislators highlight issues of public importance in Legislative Assembly

Jammu, March 17 (Scoop News) – CPI (M) Legislator and MLA Kulgam M Y Tarigami today demanded prompt measures to safeguard State’s property at New –Delhi, Aitsar and Bombay. He said the property at these places is shrinking for want of effective measures in place.

            Raising the issue in the House this morning, he said 114 kanals of land in New Delhi has shrunk to mere 15 kanals. How come government augment quarter facility when land is not available in the union capital, he questioned while highlighting the need to have more accommodation at New Delhi to facilitate citizens of the State.

            He urged the government to take immediate measures to protect estates of the State situated outside.

Vikar Rasool and  Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo demanded restoration of roads damaged due to heavy rains in Banihal and Kishtwar district while highlighting the problems faced by the people due to poor communication links.

  Ab. Majid Wani demanded early completion of ERA project in Doda.

 Balwant Singh Mankotia demanded re-opening of all the gates of Ragunathji temple at Jammu closed in the wake of militancy attack in 2000.
