Srinagar, December 16 (Scoop News) – Mukhtar Ahmad Awhan, age 20 years, son of Kalu-Awhan, resident of Batagam, Uri, Baramulla, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Uri was injured when a leopard attacked him while he was doing his routine work in Beacon. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
1 Injured in road mishap
A Tata 407, bearing registration number JK01D/2023 hit and injured a pedestrian Abdul Khaliq Malla, age 60 years, son of Abdul Samad, resident of Bieherwara, Handwara at Solina, Srinagar falling under the jurisdiction of police station Shergari. The injured was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Fire incidents
During intervening night of 14/15.12.2011, fire broke out in the double storied residential house of Abdul Rashid Ganie, son of Ghulam Nabi, resident of Audsoo, Anantnag falling under the jurisdiction of police station Achabal, resulting in damage to the house. However, no loss of life or injury was reported in this incident. The cause of fire is being ascertained.
Due to electric short circuit, fire broke out at main building of BSNL, Exchange, Anantnag, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Anantnag, resulting in partial damage to the 3rd storey of the building. However, no loss of life or injury was reported in this incident.
Body recovered in Handwara
Handwara police recovered a body of a person, age 35 years, from the forest area at Phalmarg, Handwara.
The deceased was later on identified as Abdul Rashid Sofi, son of Abdul Aziz, resident of Dogripora, Handwara and was recovered from the forest area of Phalmarg, Handwara, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Villagam. Post Mortem of the body was conducted. A case has been registered in Police Station Vilgam and investigation has been started in this regard.
