Poetry From The Heart
Let me love you
as we travel through beds of roses
cross oceans to different shores
walk cactus filled arid regions
trapped in raging storms
attaining the apex in our lives.
Let me love you
feel the tenderness of your skin
warmth of your breath against my neck
tears upon my back
hearing the woe’s of the days journey
expressing your love in a fervent plea.
Let me love you
as the seeds of our union lie fertile in the womb
watch as you give life to our newborn
share our love as we select a name
laugh as we decide he looks like me
sleep restless after we bring him home.
Let me love you
for who you are and what you mean to me
allow our spirits to bond to each other for life
stroke you throughout the night
telling you, “I love you” beyond belief
as your head is cradled against my chest.
Let me love you…
