Joseph Lieberman who is a Democratic senator representing Connecticut will announce his support for Senator John McCain (R-AZ) for United States President on Monday at a town hall meeting at Hillsborough.
According to one of Lieberman’s advisers, while McCain is a Republican, Joseph Lieberman believes that he has the best chance in bringing the country together in fighting against Islamic terrorism. The advisor spoke anonymously.
Despite the support, Lieberman will continue to caucus with Senate Democrats. The decision is also not the result of any tension between the old party back in 2006. Democrats endorsed Ned Lamont instead of Joseph Lieberman back in 2006.
One of McCain’s top aids explains that both McCain and Lieberman are good friends. It is said that McCain had helped Lieberman get re-elected into the Senate.
The Register said that McCain is ready to lead America. The Globe said that McCain has earned his reputation for straight talk at major political expense. The Herald says that McCain will tell the truth even if it costs him winning the presidency.
McCain expects endorsements will help him with undecided voters.
