Listen to Oasis’ latest album on MySpace, as the band joins a list of musicians in putting up their music on the Internet.
The album Dig Out Your Soul may not be out until next week, but fans can preview the whole album online a week before its release.
Noel Gallagher, the band’s lead guitarist and songwriter, explained in October 2007 how the album came to be: "Funnily enough, we all write separately, but for some reason all the songs sound like they’ve got a common thread."
He also explained the change in the album’s new concept: "We’ve been focusing round the grooves more this time, the last album was quite ‘songy.’"
As this article was written, there was some difficulty with the embedded media player on the site, but according to the band’s official website, the issue was being resolved.
The post read:
"UPDATE:
Due to unforeseen circumstances with MySpace’s music player the album playback is being delayed. Stay tuned – more news as soon as the issue is resolved.."
Professional reviews of the album have been largely favorable, with The Times and The Observer rating it four stars out of five.
The track listing is:
‘Bag It Up’
‘The Turning’
‘Waiting For The Rapture’
‘The Shock Of The Lightning’
‘I’m Outta Time’
‘(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady’
‘Falling Down’
