Living in India but praying for the prosperity of Pakistan

Srinagar, March 23 (Scoop News) – The Jammu & Kashmir Ittihadul Muslimeen (JKIM) has said that the resolution of 1940 in Lahore for a separate sovereign country for Muslims has proved visionary and is as relevant today as it was then.

The members of JKIM while felicitating the people and government of Pakistan on the occasion of Pakistan Day, prayed for the stability and prosperity of Pakistan.

A spokesperson of the party in a statement said, the visionary concept of Quaid-e-Azam, Muhammad Ali Jinnah that to yoke together two such nations who belong to different civilization, religions, philosophies, social customs, ideas and concept of life under a single state, will lead to growing discontent and destruction of social fabric is very much relevant today in resolution of international conflicts and issues like Kashmir.

The statement said that the realization of two state principles had dawned in the minds and polity of international community with regard to resolving Palestine and it must follow the same principle for settlement of the Kashmir dispute.

Ittihadul Muslimeen appreciated Pakistan’s continued political, moral and diplomatic support to Kashmiris’ struggle to attain inalienable right to self-determination. Spokesman emphasised that a stable and secure Pakistan was not imperative only for peace in the subcontinent and the whole Muslim world but for bringing about a durable resolution of Kashmir dispute.

Meanwhile Chief patron of Jammu and Kashmir Ittihadul Muslimeen (JKIM) and ex-chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Maulana Mohammad Abbas Ansari along with a delegation today left for New Delhi to participate in the Pakistan Day function organized by the High Commission of Pakistan in New Delhi.
