Jammu and Kashmir: Misguided youth, though maximum well educated as reported by local news papers, crossed over to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) for arms training to create devastation and destruction on their return in Valley to achieve their goal. They returned, fought either got killed or surrendered. But a small lot out of these warriors remained silent in PoK and started social life side by side by marrying local girls and women there.

One fine morning, chief minister Omar Abdullah came out with rehabilitation policy for the remaining misguided under which Liquat Shah named one misguided returned and was subjected to harassment on the pretext of being a terrorist in New Delhi. Omar, despite all odds reiterated his commitment for rehabilitation of these misguided till last Friday.
Visualizing unparalleled affection of Omar towards the misguided, government of PoK has announced that it is deeply concerned for rehabilitation of these youth to which government has announced to issue National Identity Cards to them to enable them to get equal rights at par with original residents of occupied Kashmir.
“It’s committed to rehabilitate the Kashmiri refugees who crossed the Line of Control (LoC) in 1989-90s, the Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PaK) government said the refugees would be given National Identity Cards (NICs) to get the benefits equal to the citizens of Pakistan” Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed said after giving the move cabinet nod.
Omar’s rehabilitation which offers economic, social and political guarantee to misguided seems less attractive as compared to Majeed’s NIC facility. As the importance of nationalist identity is known to none else than refugees of Pakistan and PoK who are languishing in different parts of Jammu city and are doing pillar to post even on today for the same.
President of PoK Refugee Displaced Persons Front, Yudhvir Singh said that they are protesting to seek "full and final settlement" of their demands. They were demonstrating outside the Divisional Commissioner’s office in Jammu today. "We will intensify the agitation from August 15, if the government fails to fulfill our demands. We want full and final rehabilitation and settlement package for refugees," he added.
The love and affection for misguided from both sides of divided Kashmir forces one to understand that these are virtually particles of golden ore which could be cashed on the any election date here as well as there. So to call them as terrorists or mujahids is not wise enough.
Anyway, as per the sketch of story, ball is in the court of Omar Abdullah and it is interestingly worth to watch that if Omar approaches to New Delhi for more attractive options for misguided for their return or will succumb to PoK, PM’s initiative.
