Satish Sharma alleged that the local administration of Bhaderwah working on communal lines and failing to ensure safety and security of the members of minority community. He expressed these views after receiving detailed information from the party cadres of Bhaderwah about the present tension in the town.
He expressed hope that the administration would act in an impartial manner and see to it that the minorities are not harassed or forced to migrate to safer places leaving behind their homes and hearths like the Kashmiri Hindu migrants.
Referring to the recent incident which created communal tension in the town, Satish Sharma said that the timely action by the local administration could have calmed the people but as past practice, the administration only awakes when the situation takes an ugly turn.
Satish Sharma said that whatever the Lecturer of an educational institution said on a particular issue should have been gone through properly and make the agitating people aware of what the Lecturer wanted to convey. Merely some words from a teacher from a particular community should not be interpreted otherwise with a motive to provoke the sentiments of other community. He said that the members of the minority community in Bhaderah and sorrounding towns are feeling insecure.
Sharma also denounced Syed Ali Shah Geelani’s demand for action against the lecturer involved and said that the anti-national elements should avoid from fishing in troubled waters.
