Fire broke out at an east London warehouse on the 2012 Olympics site which has sent a towering column of black smoke over the British capital Monday, authorities said. There were no reports of injuries. The blaze came shortly after noon in an industrial area in Stratford, authorities said. The fire is within the construction site for the 2012 Summer Olympics, the BBC reported. The London Fire Brigade said about 75 firefighters from 15 fire engines were fighting the blaze about 5.5 miles outside central London, in an area undergoing extensive redevelopment. Police informed that there was nothing now to suggest a suspicious cause behind the fire and the investigations are continuing. "We only know it’s a fire," a Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said. "There’s nothing to suggest anything else at the moment." A railway line was closed because of the thick black smoke, Network Rail said.
