Lonely Is A Child

Poetry From The Heart

Lonely is a child…
without a home
senses “no” love, a desire to roam
chases after a biological bond
connecting a union of blood and soul
helpless is the child without its own originality.

Lonely is a child…
left to dream of what could’ve been
related and joined as one, Mother and friend.
Forsook to live in another’s home
not knowing the events and what went wrong
helpless is the child without its own originality.

Lonely is a child…
who feels something isn’t right
needing answers but receiving blanks.
Helpless and restless, feeling forlorn
searches for solutions about being born
helpless is the child without its own originality.

Lonely is a child…
who never knew their Mother or Dad
causes a young person to feel hurt and sad.
Out of the womb to a stranger’s hands
leaves a cavity of intimacy into an unknown land…
helpless is the child without its own originality.
