Poetry From The Heart
The sun escorts wishes into the room
bids messages of love and assurance.
Absences of aspirations exist here
longs for a day of joy and passion.
John’s cold and vague…
isolation’s his only friend
love doesn’t leave one doubting.
Words spoken in monotones
starring eyes
a stranger’s in the room
waits comments.
Solitude drops off luggage without a clue
settles to imprison seconds.
Lust’s no longer beckon into his kingdom
to satisfy the King’s desires for pleasures.
Love doesn’t leave one doubting…
it’s permanent regardless of circumstances.
It doesn’t play with the psyche
snubbing a mate is disastrous
ruins the nucleus of its meaning
deserts a soul’s desires, hurts and frustrations.
Love doesn’t leave one doubting…
it nourishes the flesh
seals and gratifies the spirit
offers affections and communications
fulfills needs and comforts the soul
Love never leaves one doubting.
