Love Emerged From Cracks In Their Heart

Poetry From The Heart

He pretended he was a stranger to me
in passing I got weak in the knees.
Our souls knew we were living a lie
afraid to look up into our eyes.
Full of shame, sorrow and regret
our hearts ached with pains and frets.

Our cores were aware of dishonesty
never realized how it came about to be.
Two souls wedged in a moment of frailty
as lips melted and captured their flimsy.
Two people trapped in an awful snare
trying to admit there is no love affair.

Love emerged from cracks in their hearts
permitted in and not allowed to depart.
A full blown mess created by them
knows it is impossible for an actual win.
He waits in the wings desired her heart
miserable… knowing they had to part.

Two hearts wounded by a passionate kiss
festers…realizing it must become amiss.
Passions and sensations will forever remain
but a relationship must discontinue and refrain.
They’ll continue to be strangers passing along
their souls will forever remember their wrong.
