BATON ROUGE – Here’s the thing about this Alabama at LSU game here at Tiger Stadium.
In less than three minutes, LSU went from looking as it was in deep trouble to get a good field position because of an Alabama penalty, to a quick scoring drive, a fumble recovery and a touchdown run up the middle.
LSU is leading the No. 1 team in the country 14-7 at Tiger Stadium.
LSU’s first touchdown came on the heels of the Alabama touchdown which resulted in a penalty on the kickoff.
Jarrett Lee, making up for an earlier interception, threw a perfect pass to Demetrius Byrd to tie the game at 7.
This is a bad start for LSU, but a typical start for Alabama, which has created scoring opportunities all season with its defense, looks like it could be a long day for LSU.
t was Jones who made the big defensive play in last season’s game, sacking Crimson Tide quarterback John Parker Wilson, causing him to fumble. :LSU eventually scored and won that game.
