Did you know that Lucille Ball was once investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation for having communist affiliations?
I know its hard to believe isn’t it, “our beloved Lucy” – but its true.
An odd exhibit at the Tamba Bay Historical Museum, a few years ago showed a copy of an FBI documents, dated April 4, 1952 regarding an investigation into the actress Lucille Ball, for of all things being a “communist.”
I thought it was interesting to say the least so I snapped apicture of it (see above).
Apparently Miss Ball was registered as a communist according to voter registration recordsin 1936.
Records indicate she also had an FBI file number 41702.
I know its hard to imagine such a thing going on?
