Born in remote village with zest of hard work and dedication to help the
rural population has been conferred with ‘International Kohinoor Award’ at
Bangkok (Thailand) for individual contribution in international integration in
the field of education. Sushil Mahajan, Chairman New Gandhi Memorial College of
Education, Miran Sahib has already been awarded forty (40) national and four (4)
International Awards for his contribution in the field of education to rural masses.

Sri Narula (Paul) Chief Executive Director Omni Tower and Omni Industries
Group, Krishna Saini Consultant of Industries in Egypt, Travallor Consultant
Thai Tourism (Thailand), Surachet Wonglikit Best Architect of Thailand, Amar
Motwani Managing Director, M/S Argus Electronics Security System Pvt Ltd,
Mumbai. The award carries citation and a memento.
Mahajan, born in Miran Sahib, Jammu and Kashmir, in 1956,
rose to such a level from very small beginning by opening a pre-primary school
in 1983 which was upgraded to middle school in 1987 and become high school in
1989, in 1993 same has acquired the level of higher secondary school under the
aegis of New Gandhi Memorial Educational Society. Mahajan’s dedication towards
imparting education encouraged him to established B. Ed College in 2001 in the
name of New Gandhi Memorial College of Education and in 2004 he started
Elementary Teachers Training Course under the banner of New Gandhi Memorial
Teachers Training and Research Institute. Keeping pace with time of Information
Technology (IT), Mahajan also joined the race and launched BBA and BCA courses
in Management and Computer Sciences for imparting education in the stream to
rural aspirants and students.
