If you enjoy the game of baseball it came to a point in last years season that either the MLB did something about broken bats or quite possibly we would be hearing the ‘ping’ that is common in aluminum bats.
The MLB has done it’s best to find a solution and has issued nine recommendations to reduce the frequency of multi- piece bat failures.
From July – September ther were no fewer than 2,232 bats broken during Major League games, 756 of them broke into multiple pieces…dangerous to say the least.
After getting together with the manufacurers they have narrowed the problem to "slope of grain" and will implement the nine recommendations to monitor and correct the situation….
I for one do not want to hear the ‘ping’, the ‘crack’ works just fine, baseball as it was meant to be!
