Srinagar,July 14 – In Indian Kashmir,The J&K state Cabinet, which met in Srinagar on Tuesday evening, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, approved following transfers in the Police Department:
1. A. K. Bhan, IPS, DGP, CID, J&K has been transferred and posted as Director General Prisons.
2. K.Rajendra Kumar IPS, IGP, Jammu Zone, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, CID, J&K in his own pay and grade.
3. . P.L Gupta IPS, IGP Headquarter has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Vigilance (ADGP) in his own pay and grade. He shall continue to hold the charge of the post of IGP, Headquarter till further orders.
4. . S. Gopal Reddy IPS, IGP Vigilance has been transferred and posted as IGP, Home Guards/CD and Auxiliary Police. He will hold additional charge of IGP Railways till further orders.
5. Dilbag Singh IPS, IGP Home Guards/CD & Auxiliary Police has been transferred and posted as IGP Armed Police, J&K.
6. Mr. S. Owais Ahmed IPS, IGP, Armed Police, J&K has been transferred and posted as IGP, vigilance, J&K.
