NORTHERN PLAINS- A major winter storm is heading towards the Northern Plains to include the states of North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and Northern Iowa.
This storm is suppose to impact the region starting early Tuesday and lasting into the evening on Wednesday. Indications are out that some places may see snowfall amounts around 2ft for this storm. This by far is going to be one of the strongest snowstorms this region has seen this winter. There is also going to be a battle between the Rain/Ice/Snow lines so this will have a very large impact on snowfall totals also. In the graph you can see the projected snowfall amounts.
I will provide an update later tonight if I see any changes in the track of the storm or the amounts of snow.
Make sure if you live in this region keep your local news and weather on and check often to this major impacting storm.
