A man in his 40’s testified at a market square that he had been healed of HIV/AIDS through prayer as evidenced by a second laboratory test.
HIV/AIDS has ravaged most third world countries. It is taking the most productive citizens leaving old men and children.
The man, accompanied by members of his church, was preaching to people who had come to buy things at the market.
John, who said he had been sick for sometime testified that evangelists from United States of America visited his home and prayed for him.
He could, however not remember the names of those who prayed for him.
He said he felt a numbness in his whole body .A day later he saw that he started doing work he previously could not do.
He then went again for laboratory tests at Queens Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre to verify if he has really been healed.
TO his surprise ,he was found HIV negative after they had found him HIV positive two months earlier.
He then went to testify to the evangelists who had prayed for him.They then decided that he should have another test after another three months.He was found negative again.
After several months he went for another test.He was found negative again.
Commenting on the issue ,a doctor at the hospital confirmed about the tests saying it is a mystery.
However Pastor Chrissie of Bethsaid Church said it is not news.
"What is strange here? I am a living example.My husband was found with HIV/AIDS before marriage.I do not have the virus.This is now over twelve years. Believe in Jesus," he commented.
