Fifty-year old Christine Lakinski who suffered from many medical conditions was pronounced dead at the scene. However, her death wasn’t at the hands of twenty-seven year old Anthony Anderson. Christine Lakinski had walked home while carrying a box of laminate flooring. During that walk, she had fallen ill and stumbled into a doorway. She fell on the ground where she was dying.
Instead of helping Christine Lakinski, Anthony Anderson a former soldier was at the scene. However, he had been drinking with a few friends. At the same time, Anderson was also smoking a marijuana joint. He could be considered both high and intoxicated during the incident.
While Christine Lakinski lain on the ground, a crowd gathered around her. In attempt to get Lakinski to get up, Anderson had dumped a bucket of water on her. Still, Christine Lakinski didn’t get up. He then urinated on the boy of Christine Lakinski before covering her with shaving foam. The crowd watched and laughed according to the report. One of them filmed it on a mobile phone.
She was announced dead at the scene. Her death was by pancreatic failure which explains why she fell ill on the way home.
The case was referred from the magistrates in Hartlepool to the Teesside Crown Court. This was because this court could hand out a longer jail term to Anthony Anderson.
The judge handling the case, Peter Fox said to Anderson: “You violated this woman in an incredible way, and the shocking nature of your acts over a prolonged period of time must mean that a prison sentence of greater length is appropriate in this case.”
The family of Christine Lakinski stated in interview that they are shocked and disgusted by Anderon’s actions. They also said that the others who did nothing are guilty in their eyes as well.
