Kathmandu, Nepal May, 5 2010: The indefinite strike of the Maoist is taking its toll on both sides the agitators and the people. It has been reported that people have defied the strike and have confronted the protestors. In a recent event in the morning gunshots firing case was reported at Sukuldokha, Bhaktapur. The Young Communist League (YCL) has accused CPN-UML affiliated Youth Force of firing at the rally on Wednesday morning. Confirming the news the Police have reported about the gun fire and are further in investigation. More or less, with the new happenings and lack of consideration between the two parties the issues are stacking up putting question to the intention of both the government and the agitated Maoist party. Likewise, today the strike took a new turn where the agitators were seen armed with sticks. From early morning the area around Singha Durbar, the government operation secretariat was tensed. As the Maoist party had announced the denial of entrance at the Singha Durbar yesterday, it was reported that to avoid the protest and agitators the Ministers and other higher officials entered the premises early morning just to avoid the scuffle. A large group of the Maoist agitators protested in-front of the government secretariat where high security alert measures were taken. Similarly, a journalist Sudharsan Ghimire, sub-editor of Sikchhak daily was manhandled at Baluwatar today. Ghimire, was attacked while he was returning back to his office on his bike. The agitator charged him despite his press media tag and was assaulted where he was treated for minor injuries.
