Maoists fix a deadline of four weeks to the King of Nepal to vacate the palace

With their newly gained political status, the Maoists have fixed a deadline to the Nepal King to vacate the palace.

The Maoists have not forgotten their 10 year long struggle in the form of a civil war to oust the royal dynasty from Nepal. Now the Maoists having gained a near absolute majority in the elections held for the Nepal Constituent assembly, their task of ousting the king of Nepal has become much easier and  they have set a deadline for the King of Nepal Mr. Gyanendra to vacate the palace within 4 weeks.

Baburam Bhattarai, deputy chief of the CPN and perhaps who could become the Prime Minister of Nepal, has said that if the Nepal King failed to vacate the Narayanhity Royal palace within four weeks, he would be forced to vacate the palace.

Mr.Baburam Bhattarai, who has won from the homeland of Shah Dynasty of kings, with the highest number of votes, has told BBC, that if  the King vacates the palace on his own volition, the Maoists would guarantee his right to live in the country as a law abiding citizen.

Further Mt.Battarai said that since the people has given us a mandate to turn Nepal into a Republic, the Nepal King has to vacate the palace and go to his own residence. After the exit of the Royal family, the Nepal palace would be converted into a museum.

There is also a speculation about what the 239 year old dynasty of the Kingdom of  Nepal would do, who had even tried to become an absolute monarchy  with the help of army,  failing in his attempt and has been in a precarious position since 2005 and in the wake of the growing power of Maoists through the peoples vote.

According to Mr.Prabakar Rana, who hailed from the scion of the hereditary prime ministers dynasty and is very close to the King of Nepal, has ruled out the view that King Gyanendra would go to India in exile.

Anyhow, in view of the tough stance taken by the Maoists, the entire world is looking at the King of Nepal and what he would do within four weeks, the deadline set up by the Maoists, the party which is going to be the deciding force and at the helm of affairs in Nepal.
