The Manila Police District is currently hunting an engineering student of Mapua Institute of Technology (MIT) after killing two of his schoolmates.
The suspect is identified as Genesis Gabrielle Pongol, 20 year old, a third year mechanical engineering student. Pongol a.k.a. “Kidlat”, “Gene” and “Gino” is from Panhulan, Agoncillo, Batangas and currently residing at Novaliches, Quezon City.
Pongol is currently facing “two counts of murder” after killing Jose Marie Villareal, 19 years old, from
Libertad St., Pasay City and Raymund Gino, 21 years old, from Ususan Taguig City, both are students of MIT. The two were killed last Saturday Night, March 15 at Urdaneta corner General Luna Sts. in Intramuros, Manila. According to the police, the suspect might have gone into hiding in his place in Batangas or in Villa España, Tatalon Quezon City, Tandang Sora, Quezon City and Tartaria, Silang Cavite. According to the police, fraternity war might be the motive of the killings.Villareal and Gino were walking in the said area after drinking at Aircon Grill in
Magallanes St. when Pongol blocked them and fatally stabbed them. The two died while being treated in a hospital.Meanwhile Police released yesterday the photo of the prime suspect.
