Mark Guardado, 46, the president of San Francisco’s chapter of the Hell’s Angels motorcycle gang was shot to death in front of a bar in the city’s Mission District.
Police are unsure who shot Mark Guardado and what might have been there motive but rival southern California motorcycle gang The Mongols are suspected. Suspects say that Guardado was in a physical altercation with his shooter before bullets were fired and that the shooter fled the scene on a motorcycle.
Mark Guardado was the main suspect in an assault with a deadly weapons case, stemming from a bar fight in Petaluma, California. Some think that Guardado’s murder might have been connected to this fight or another similar brawl for which the Hell’s Angels are known.
Police now worry that members of Guardado’s Hell’s Angels will seek revenge on his murder. That means that they are providing extra protection in the area and around neighborhoods that are home to members of The Mongols.
