Martyr Stanzin Norboo cremated with full Honour at Leh

 

Leh/Srinagar, April 17 (Scoop News) –      Police Sub Inspector Stanzin Norboo No. 7148/NGO resident of Nimo Leh Ladakh, who was posted in police station Awantipura had attained martyrdom on April 5th 2011 at Dadhsara Tral while fighting with militants.

Police officals said that Martyr Stanzin Norboo body was cremated today at his native village Nimo with full Honour. District Police Leh presented guard of Honour.

A large number of people were present on the occasion to pay their last respect to the brave police man, who made supreme sacrifice by laying down his precious life for the sake of nation.

Among those present were SRigzin Spalbar  CEC Leh, Sh. T Angchok DC Leh, Stanzin Nurboo Addl SP Leh, Sh T Samphel Former member Minority Commission, representatives of Ladakh Buddhist Association, and Army officers.

Stanzin’s body was flown to Leh from Srinagar on April 6 in a state-owned aircraft and was finally taken to his native Nimoo village for the last rites. A peaceful bandh was also observed in Leh on April to mourn the death of a Sub-Inspector of the police, Stanzin Nurboo.
